Join the
SEA SCOUTS for fun afloat You must
be able to swim before we can take you out in our boats, but you can join Sea
Scouts while you are learning to swim. |
About
|
All sections
in Scouting are open to both GIRLS & BOYS and
there are roles for adults
too |
|
You can join SEA SCOUTS if you are 10 (or nearly 10) and
under 14. |
|
|
You can join the EXPLORER SEA SCOUTS if you are 14 (or
nearly 14) and under 18. |
|
|
We do not yet have a SEA CUB SCOUT section, but would like
to start one as soon as we have enough young people interested and some
adults willing to become their leaders and helpers. Cubs are age 8-10. Please
contact us if your son or daughter is aged 8-10 or
nearly 8, and would be interested in joining. When we have about 15 on our
list we will call a meeting of parents to discuss how we can get cubs going. |
|
AdultsIf you are aged 18-25, then the Scout Network might be the
place for you and we welcome Network members to help us with the Group.
Alternatively, any suitable person over 18 can apply to become a Group
assistant or a leader. All adults are Disclosure Checked. |

If you are an adult who has ever worked at sea, in the
Merchant Navy, Royal Navy, Fishing fleet or as a professional sailing crew,
then you are welcome to join the Deep Sea Scout Fellowship. Most, but not
all, members of the DSSF are likely to have been scouts as youngsters. The
role of the DSSF is to support the Sea Scout Group, such as with technical
expertise, administration, maintenance, skills instruction etc. We currently
have 1 DSSF member and would welcome more. |
